Private Pilot Ground School
The kids are about to head back to school; it's time for the pilots to do the same! A Private Pilot Ground School has been scheduled to begin on Monday, August 16. Classes will meet each Monday and Thursday evening through Thursday, September 16. There will not be a class on Monday, September 6, Labor Day. The price for the class is $395. You can earn the endorsement required to take the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test (Written Exam) and start preparing for the FAA Oral Exam portion of your checkride. G1000 Class Scheduled for July 6
Short notice Garmin G1000 Ground Class! We will be holding a Garmin G1000 Ground Class Tuesday, July 6, at 5pm at the flight school. A few spots are available, so please contact the flight school as soon as you can if you are interested. Class cost is $99 and you can complete the required Garmin G1000 written test during the class. The class should be over around 9pm; we will order some pizza if folks are interested.

Special rate on N53361 for the rest of the month of June!
Here is one more good reason to get on the schedule and fly at SFS this month. The hourly rate for N53361 will be reduced to $99/hour for club members for the remainder of the month. This special rate is only good from June 25 through June 30. Book now and enjoy the savings!

G1000 Class Scheduled
A Garmin G1000 Ground Class will be held on Saturday, June 12 from 9:30 until 2:00pm. You can complete the required G1000 written test during the class while you learn what all of the buttons and knobs do. The cost of the class is $99. A Garmin G1000 Integrated Glass Cockpit ground class is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at 9:30. You can complete the required G1000 Written Quiz during the class. Learn what all the buttons and dials do. The cost is $99; please call the Flight School to reserve your seat or email hutch@superiorflight.com.

Instrument Ground School

The next Instrument Pilot Ground School is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 22. Classes will meet each Monday and Wednesday through April 21 from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. The cost of the class is $375. You can earn the endorsement to take the Instrument Written Exam and begin preparation for the Oral phase of the Practical Test. March High Performance Special
Spring time is upon us and the flying weather is finally starting to improve.  We thought we would use the month of March as an opportunity to get prepared for some fun summer flying.  If you are looking for a great cross country aircraft, the Cessna 182 can not be beat.  Carry 4 people and bags for the weekend at 145kts.  Get to the beach or the mountains in about 2.5 hrs. 

The FAA requires a high performance endorsement to act as PIC in an aircraft with over 200hp. At 230hp, the Cessna 182 will require the endorsement.  In order to help some of our pilots transition over to the 182 from the 172, we thought we would offer a March High Performance Special.  For the month of March only, any club member who would like to earn a High Peformance endorsement can rent N6197Z for the reduced rate of $180/hr.  Sorry, this rate applies only to pilots working on the endorsement and will only last through the end of March.  So if you have the desire to fly a bigger, faster airplane now is a great time to get started.
